Against the backdrop of beautiful Galway Bay in Salthill Galway City, we reveal the diversity of life hidden under the waves. We are an all-weather attraction with over 25 years of experience presenting the story of the sea to people of all ages.

Our Aquarium & Cultural exhibits enable people to explore and learn about the Aquatic Life in biozones, waterfalls, rivers, ocean, and rare heritage exhibits with guided and self-guided tours & walks.

This means that our visitors leave the Aquarium with many fun memories of the experience and a deeper understanding and connection to the natural world. 

Our aquarium features a variety of exhibits, including experiences where visitors can interact with our engagement team who give talks about our marine creatures, freshwater fish displays, and conservation themes.

Notable highlights include the Fin Whale Skeleton, Bearna Log Boat, and HY-Brasil Galway Bay Hooker.

Galway Atlantaqia is open seven days a week, with talks and tours throughout the day.

It has free parking and an all-weather attraction. Located in Salthill, which means your family and friends can enjoy a host of other attractions while visiting.
