Galway Atlantaquaria & MindSlí Launch New

Seashore Well being Workshops ‘What The Ocean Teaches Us’

On behalf of Clean Coasts funding, Galway Atlantaquaria and MindSlí are delighted to announce a brand new seashore experience for World Oceans Day & Week.
Mindful Steps By The Sea is a guided reflective shore journey made up of 10 short exercises inspired by psychology, reflective practice, and our relationship with the natural environment. Through the experience, participants come away with a clearer sense of where they stand on themes like change, belonging, and resilience, and small, concrete ways to carry those insights into everyday life. Just you, the coast, and a set of questions worth sitting with.

Adult Only and Family Experiences, free to book today!

About

The Clean Coasts programme is operated by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce. Clean Coasts works with communities to help protect and care for Ireland’s waterways, coastline, seas, ocean and marine life.

Galway Atlantaquaria is a native species Aquarium that includes conservation, education, and community events to share its passion for marine life and how to protect it.

MindSlí is a self-discovery experience using reflective exercises inspired by psychology and philosophy. You stay fully in control of your pace, depth, and comfort.

NEW EMDInMyCountry SCHEDULE FOR JUNE

FACEBOOK EMD
EMDInMyCountry 2026

Join Galway Atlantaquaria as we explore the shore of Grattan Beach and discover a host of remarkable marine animals. Each species has a story to tell — teaching us about resilience, cooperation, and how our oceans serve as a warning to the growing challenges of climate change, litter and acidification.

Every creature we encounter plays a vital role in the marine ecosystem, from helping to clean the ocean and providing food for other species to sequestering carbon and producing oxygen that sustains life on Earth.

These European Maritime Day (EMD) experiences offers unique and authentic storytelling along the shore, inviting you to connect with the coast in a deeply personal way. We guarantee an experience that leaves you with a lasting feeling — because there is nothing quite like the exhilaration of exploring rockpools, discovering new life, and breathing in the fresh, salty air that truly nourishes the soul.

EVENTS open to all, some require booking direct and some are open.
