What the Tide Reveals: Fossils, Folklore, and Finding Magic Along the Shore
Echoes of the night – A Bat Listening Experience (Pilot Direct Bookings Only)

About Echoes of the Night
Last week, Paula Kearney, the Biodiversity Officer of Galway City Council, delivered an Explore Your Shore! Kit for the Aquarium to use during its public experiences. The kit included a Bat Recorder, which we have never used. Paula mentioned that you could record Bats in Salthill? Over the last few days we have been recording Bats and it is quite a fun and interesting activity.
A limited Window
The Aquarium would like to offer the public a chance to ‘listen’ to Bats, and we have some dates in mind. However, there are some really critical timings and conditions for this experience to go ahead. The idea is for people to express interest, and then we can email one day in advance, just to make use of the best conditions.
Currently, the best location is the Eglington Canal, beside St. Joseph’s Church.
BOOKING THROUGH EMAIL
