Scardinius erythrophthalmus
Rudd are a golden colour with bright red fins. A shoaling species, they will often be found with other fish such as roach and small perch. Rudd has a distinctive upturned mouth, this gives us a good idea of how they prefer to feed, often taking food from the surface of the water.
