Aquarium in
your Classroom

If it’s not possible for your class to visit us in person at Atlantaquaria, we can meet you virtually and bring the aquarium to your classroom. We have developed a programme of online classes that can be delivered via Zoom or you can engage with us through audio/chat, Sli.do or Padlet. Online classes (40-minute duration) can be booked as single events or as a series of classes.

Content can include:

  • Marine Conservation
  • SDG14
  • Fisheries and Food Projection
  • Marine Spatial Planning and Renewable Ocean Energy
  • Biodiversity Talk and Biofact Show and Tell

Aquarium in your Classroom is also available before or after a class visit to Atlantaquaria.

Virtual Aquarium

Atlantaquaria Online

View our virtual tour of the aquarium with six bespoke episodes that showcase our rivers and lakes, the ocean, marine heritage and the native species that call these habitats home. Suitable for families or classes with students ages 6- 12 years of age, each episode also includes a “Think Tank” quiz and a set of downloadable worksheets available in English and Irish. With something for everyone, the virtual visit has already been enjoyed by schoolchildren and their families from all over Galway City and County.
