Welcome to Galway! We reckon if you’ve decided on Galway you will already have found out about other tourist information including The Tribes of Galway, Connemara, Aran Islands etc. so we’ve decided to keep this page more family friendly based. Our introduction letter comes from David Curran, owner and author of a fantastic family guide on Galway, we think David’s introduction below says all you need to know about our wonderful city. Welcome and Congratulations on choosing Galway to spend some of your Family Time!.In my opinion you could not have picked a better city or country to visit. I’ve considered doing FamilyTime guides to other counties by I genuinely feel that in Galway we have everything you could possibly want to keep you and your children happily occupied. We have some stunning beaches, many parks and playgrounds, nature walks, a national park, the largest aquarium, pet farms, caves, play centres, bowling, cinemas, swimming pools, craft shops, gardens, castles, boat trips and markets. There are plenty of family friendly restaurants and hotels that will make you feel genuinely welcome. Your children will remember their time spent with you all the more when you share an activity so don’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves to get down and dirty with them. So go on, take things slowly, enjoy spending time with your children recounting the fun both you and they had. You’re making deposits in their memory bank, a bank that no NAMA can touch. Enjoy and don’t forget to pick up your copy of FamilyTime from the Galway Tourist Office, Hotels and of course the Aquarium!! David Curran FamilyTime Guide. Family Hotel’s nearbyThe Galway Bay Hotel.
